As partner, GBS will receive exposure via Generation Next’s channels and feature in events for members of the network. The organisation will also put forward five of its own staff members to be part of the network.
Generation Next is ran by East Midlands Chamber and supports young professionals and the next generation of business leaders in the East Midlands.
It features a series of networking events and educational workshops led by a range of East Midlands-based companies and specialist advisers, with the aim of developing its members’ professional networks and skills.
GBS will also sponsor a category in the first Generation Next Awards, details of which will be released next month.
Lucy Robinson, the Chamber’s director of resources and Generation Next lead, said: “We are so pleased to welcome GBS Apprenticeships on board as partner of our growing network.
“GBS already does fantastic work in equipping the region’s professionals – across multiple sectors – with the right skills for them to succeed via its training and apprenticeship programmes. We are looking forward to working with the team to continue to support the development of our region’s young talent.”
GBS Apprenticeships is a digital skills and leadership and management specialist training provider based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
With a national presence in its sector, its offering includes apprenticeships, commercial training, e-learning and consultancy services. It aims to equip future leaders with the skills needed to succeed in their chosen career paths.
GBS director John Cusworth said: “GBS is delighted to support the Generation Next initiative. As an organisation that is passionate about helping young people increase their knowledge and develop new skills, working closely with East Midlands Chamber and Generation Next provides such a great platform for the next generation to understand the numerous opportunities and support functions available to them.”
GBS will be one of six partners of the network, alongside headline partner University of Derby.
