The college will receive exposure via Generation Next’s channels and feature in events run for members of the network.
The team at Loughborough College will also have access to places on the Generation Next membership service.
Generation Next is run by East Midlands Chamber, supporting young professionals and the next generation of business leaders in the East Midlands.
It features a series of networking events and educational workshops led by a range of East Midlands-based companies and specialist advisers, with the aim of developing its members’ professional networks and skills.
Loughborough College will also sponsor the Apprentice of the Year category in the inaugural Generation Next Awards, which will be held at a virtual ceremony on 16 July.
Lucy Robinson, East Midlands Chamber director of resources and Generation Next lead, said: “We are delighted to welcome Loughborough College to Generation Next as a partner.
“It has a fantastic reputation for equipping its students with high-quality education and training, preparing them for real-world experiences in the world of work.
“We are looking forward to working with the college team and I believe its expertise can really benefit our network.”
Established in 1909, Loughborough College delivers a suite of A-levels, technical qualifications, apprenticeships, and higher education qualifications.
The college has a long history of success, being awarded TEF (Teaching Excellence Framework) Gold in 2019 while facilitating a number one-ranked students union – and its Ofsted outstanding-rated apprenticeship scheme bolsters its reputation for work-placed learning.
Overall, 94% of the students at the college progress into work, further education or training.
Jo Maher, Loughborough College principal and CEO, said: “Loughborough College is proud to support Generation Next by providing expertise and skills which will help future leaders flourish.
“Part of our mission at Loughborough College is to shape the futures of young people and equip them with the skills needed by employers to help the local, regional and national economy thrive. Being part of Generation Next will support that aim.”
Loughborough College will be one of six partners of the network, alongside GBS Apprenticeships, Fraser Stretton, Nottingham University Business School and headline partner the University of Derby.
