The housing organisation, based in Castle Donington, will now receive exposure via Generation Next’s channels and feature in events run for members of the network.
Members of its team will also have access to places on the Generation Next membership service, with procurement officer Nicole Perkins already taking part in its ambassador scheme.
Facilitated by East Midlands Chamber, Generation Next runs a series of networking and educational events, led by business leaders across the region, alongside a mentoring scheme and document library, to develop its members’ professional networks and skills.
Futures will sponsor the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity category in the Generation Next Awards, which is due to be celebrated on 13 July at an alternative awards ceremony at Bustler Market in Derby. Representatives of its team have already taken part in shortlisting the finalists, and in the judging days on 9 and 10 May.
East Midlands Chamber’s director of resources and Generation Next lead Lucy Robinson said: “We are thrilled to welcome Futures Housing Group to Generation Next as our latest partner.
“We have a great relationship with the Chamber strategic partner, with its chief executive Lindsey Williams our immediate past president, so it is fantastic to continue to receive its ongoing support through Generation Next.”
Futures provides more than 10,300 affordable homes across the East Midlands. It works with local authorities, developers, contractors and its customers to provide safe, comfortable and affordable homes.
The 350-strong team also helps its customers through a range of services from tenancy, money and employment advice, to providing extra support for those we need it.
Lindsey Williams, chief executive at Futures, said: “I’ve worked closely with East Midlands Chamber for several years now and after having the honour and privilege to be Chamber president in 2022, I’m delighted we’re now official partners with Generation Next.
“Having already seen the great work they do, it’s exciting to now be working with them to ensure our young people get the chance to grow, develop and shine even more. Our colleagues feeling supported is one of our new company values, so teaming together with Generation Next fits perfectly with how we at Futures want to be.”
Futures will join Generation Next’s cohort of partners, including headline partner University of Derby, Nottingham University Business School, Fraser Stretton Property Group, Hardy Signs, Loughborough College, PPL PRS, Nottingham Trent University Express Recruitment, Hydropath and ITS Technology Group, which together champion its vision to support and develop young professionals within the East Midlands.
