What to expect

The festival’s aim is to support Derbyshire’s business community to bounce-back from the challenges caused by the pandemic. In order to achieve this, the festival will:

  1. Identify existing and future talent
  2. Explore key business-related issues
  3. Provide opportunities for collaboration and networking
  4. Showcase Derbyshire’s businesses to existing and future clients/customers/investors

The festival is an opportunity to celebrate the resilience of the business community over the past two years, to showcase best practice and innovation, and promote the county as a great place to launch and grow a successful business.

Join us

It would be great to have you join us for the launch event on 22 September at the university’s Enterprise Centre on Bridge Street in Derby, when there will be contributions from Professor Kathryn Mitchell DL (the university’s Vice Chancellor), Scott Knowles (CEO of East Midlands Chamber), as well as Derbyshire based civic and business leaders.

The launch event will also include a presentation entitled “What happens after Covid 19?”, which will be delivered by the university’s Professor Marc Cowling and Ken Cooper, the MD of Venture Solutions at the British Business Bank.
